The Good
News of Jesus God has proved His
love for us all in that He gave His only Son, that whoever
believes in him should not perish, but
have everlasting life (John 3 verse 16) It has been said that God’s character is like a coin with two sides
– Justice and Love. His justice rightly condemns man for his sin and sin must be
punished. Since the fall of man in the On the cross, His justice and love were fully satisfied – Sin was
punished because God in His love sent Jesus to die in our place – bearing the
death penalty our sin deserved. Just before He died, Jesus said ‘It is finished’ – not a cry of
defeat but a cry of victory. The debt for man’s sin was paid for in full. – He has saved us from
hell and eternal destruction – the barrier of sin blasted away once and for all. Yes He Died – Yes He was Buried – Yes He rose from the grave – HE IS ALIVE. He won the victory over sin and death – The way back to God is now
open – for all who believe “There was no
other good enough to pay the price of sin – He only, could unlock the gates
of Heaven and let us in” |
